Beauty of the Earth

First of all, I have to say I *love* this sentiment. Mostly because it reminds me of one of my favorite choral songs, which shares the same name. If you aren't familiar with it, you can hear my favorite arrangement (by John Rutter) here. It really is lovely. I sing with our city choir, and we've done this piece a few times over the years.

ANYHOW! The set I used for this card is from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps, and it's called Autumn Blessings.... but I didn't want to make an autumn card. I took inspiration from my memory of all of the pretty green leaves we see in spring and summer (LOL! Spring? Summer? What's THAT?!). I stamped the leaves in Garden Green, then sponged over the entire piece with the same color and a little Close to Cocoa. Then I added a strip of vellum across the card and stamped the sentiment in Close to Cocoa as well. I topped that with white organza, and green organdy ribbon, as well as a few primas and dew drops. It's simple, but I love it. I'm particularly pleased with how my sponging turned out. I seem to be hit or miss with sponging massive areas (like, anything more than the edge of the paper).

I hope you like it!
Sarah
