Here is the third and final bridal shower card that I made last week. This is the one I mentioned being inspired by my (blue and yellow) bathroom. By the time I got to this card, I was seriously drained on shower ideas but it's simple and cute, and that's all that matters (mostly). This is the first time I've used this Stampin' Up! set, and I have to say I'm not entirely sure I love it. It might be in the ebay pile when the time comes. We'll see.
I added some prima's to the center of the envelope in the image. They were white flowers and I colored the edges with a yellow copic. One of my biggest issues with this card is that I somehow ended up with three different yellows - one on the umbrella, one on paper, and one on the flowers. Oh well, the bride to be didn't even look at any of the three cards I made. She had someone in charge of opening the cards, and that girl handed them directly to the person in charge of writing the gift inside them. Nice, eh? Part of me wanted to yell at her when she ripped open (and fully ignored) my Mojo Madness card, but I restrained myself.
Oooo.... Speaking of Mojo Madness, my free stamps came today! Woot! I'll have to tear into them later this week when I have more time to stamp. The house is kind of falling apart around me, so I think that needs to be a priority for a few days... or not. ;o) We'll see how I feel about it tomorrow!
Details:

Paper: Bliss Blue, Barely Banana, Whisper White, Brocade Blue
Other: SU Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Yellow Copic (on Flower), Primas, Silver and White Brads, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Marvy Scalloped Circle Punch, Paper Piercing

Beautiful card! I don't see the different yellows as a bad thing...they're just variations of a THEME...you see. The theme is yellow. :D
Love it!
Oh, I really like the blue and yellow together in this. I would probably love your bathroom! LOL!
Annoying that your cards weren't even noticed by the person you made them for though! Oh well, WE appreciate them!
So beautiful!!!

What a Lovely card! I love the Blue & Yellow. I cannot believe that the Bride didn't look at her cards first....You put a lot of effort in to making the card! I am one of those people, when I receive something, it goes into a scrapbook.... Anyway, again...Love the card! Great work!!!!
Oooh...echoing everyone else here, but I love this color combo! So pretty, and I love the image for a shower. Very cute! :)
