Be Mine

Today is another CBC Challenge day, and this week's challenge is to make a masculine Valentine card. I *finally* got around to using one of my new images from Artistic Outpost's Cutie Pie set. Isn't he just adorable?! I love him! Both the main image, and the "XOXO" stamp is from that set. I really wish I had a little football charm that I could have hung from the bow, but unfortunately I don't. I hate it when that happens. And the kicker of it all, is that I'm sure at some point in my crafting life I've held a football charm in my hand at a store, and thought Nah... I'll never use that. *smacks forehead*

Anyhow! lol! Be sure to click over to the other chicks blogs (located in my sidebar) to see what everyone else came up with this week. If you decide to play along, be sure to link your creation back to Courtney's blog for a chance to win a little prize.

I also am sad to say that this will be my last week as a CBC Chick. *sniff* I recently decided to resign my position on the team (it was an indefinite term) in an effort to achieve more balance in life between stamping and my other hobbies. I'll miss playing along each week, but will hold on to the friendships I've made, and am very thankful for all of them!

One of those many hobbies I need more time for is reading. I love to read - always have. I usually have two books going at one time. One of the two is a novel, something that I have to stick with and want to read regularly because when I read it's like watching a movie in my head. I can literally see it all unfolding in my mind (and for the record, the mini-movie in my head is always infinitely better than anything they decide to put on the big screen with the same title). The second book I keep in Jack's nursery, and I read a few pages while I'm nursing him before naptime and bedtime every day. I'm happy to report that after ten months at a few pages a day, I've finally finished my "upstairs book"! Woot!

Ok. Go ahead. Take a moment to regain your composure. Yes, this is the book I read. Three's Company is my all time favorite television show. I have seen every episode dozens of times. I own the whole series on dvd and watch it frequently. In fact, I was watching a Three's Company marathon while I was in the hospital giving birth to Henry. I just can't get enough. I love the comedy farce of John Ritter, and the way he and Joyce DeWitt play off each other. My Mom bought me this book for Christmas a few years ago, but I didn't start reading it until Jack was born (go figure, and no, I don't think that's why I named him Jack, but maybe it was a subconcious reason that I always loved the name). Anyhow, excellent book! If you are a fan of the show, or curious about what happened with Suzanne when she left, or just have an interest in entertainment trivia, I would recommend the read!

Enjoy the day!

Very cute! Loving that boy stamp :)

and yes! I was very busy yesterday changing up my blog. I also had to go to work and take my girls to church last night for a couple hours, so I was actually up til after 1 a.m. working on it. The BAD part was that I didn't get my blogroll back! :( I'm so kicking myself right now. I followed the directions and saved my old template first, and copied and pasted the blogroll widget, but all it did was add the title back to it, not all my links. SO, I'm back to square one with trying to get my 'ol favorites back. HELP!! :)
