The Little Mermaid

My Mom needed a birthday card for a little girl who adores Ariel. Sooo, rather than just go out and buy a card, she bought this Ariel scrapbooking embellishment and gave it to me to make a card with. Thanks, Mom. ;o) I tried a couple of different things. I *really* wanted to incorporate the fishy friends set into the card, but no matter what I tried, nothing looked right.

You see that little lobster medallion on the envelope? That was supposed to be part of the card, but it just didn't look right, so it ended up as an envie embellishment. I colored it with my aquapainter and the ink from the ink pad pressed into the lid. I did end up rolling the Fishy wheel along the bottom edge of the greeting insert though.I think the final product looks cute, despite the lack of work that went into it.

Details:
Stamps: Fishy wheel (inside card)
Ink: Not Quite Navy (inside card)
Paper: Ruby Red, Not Quite Navy, Shimmer White
Other: Narrow white organdy ribbon, copper cord, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Ariel scrapbooking embellishment
